I rescued Pard, my beloved border collie, from being put down because of a broken leg. Little did I know, he would rescue me more times than I could count. He was my absolute best friend and constant shadow for 9 years, which was not nearly long enough. He got out one day and was fatally hit by a car. I was thankful I had recruited him for a photography class assignment, and had some marvelous portraits of him. Capturing animals on film has been a passion of mine ever since.
